Todays episode we are going to keep it going and discuss “The One Thing Your Business Is Missing to Attract Leads During Quarantine”

 

In order for your business to survive, sustain and even scale during this time you must see where your systems are failing to attract leads and implement new tactics to fill the gaps. Every business needs a predictable method to attract leads. The best predictable method is to create a lead magnet.

 

A lead magnet, sometimes referred to as a freebie, is something of value that you give away for free that helps solve your ideal clients paint point. The reason lead magnets are so powerful is because they build that know like and trust factor. 9/10 it takes 7 encounters before someone purchases from you. So if you go straight into selling you most likely wont get a sale. But what a lead magnet does is allow you to warm up your audience establish that relationship and then once they are warm pitch your offer. 

 

It also helps build authority because if you offer something for free that immediately helps your dream client they will be impressed and feel like “if he or she can get me this kind of results for free I wonder what their paid services can do” and just like that their interest is peaked. 

 

So we use the lead magnet to build trust as well as to capture contact information. In order for someone to get your lead magnet they must opt-in – meaning provide you with their name and email.

 

When this happens they are added to your email list – and in turn your email list continues to grow. And we learned in previous episodes that email lists are vital because you can directly sell to people straight through email. 

 

So in order to create a lead magnet we first have to answer 2 questions.

 

1. Who is your dream client

2. What is your dream clients biggest pain point. 

 

So lets take question number 1.

 

For me my dream client is an entrepreneur. But we need to get a little more specific. What kind of entrepreneur? If I’m digging deeper my ideal client is a service based entrepreneur.

 

So now your turn. What group of people could benefit most from your services or products? Once you have that, dig deeper and find a sub-sector of that group. We really want to niche down so when we create your lead magnet we know who to target. 

 

Moving on to question #2

 

What is your dream clients biggest pain point. 

 

Now we know who our dream client is. Now we have to figure out what are they struggling with most. 

 

The easiest way to find out is by asking them.My favorite way to ask is by posting an Instagram story literally asking. Something like hey entrepreneurs what’s your biggest pain point when it comes to growing your business? If you follow me on FB or IG I actually did one of these types of posts yesterday asking what you want to learn about on the upcoming episodes of Entrepreneur Secrets. 

 

The reason this is important is because people are trying to sell things and provide information that people don’t want or need. You need to verify there is a need in order to solve it. 

 

So when I ask what’s your biggest pain point to my audience…

 

The #1 answer I typically get is struggle to get clients. 

 

So I would run with that. 

 

For you – I’m challenging you to go ask your audience, or maybe you already have current clients or leads – ask them what are they struggling with most as it relates to your niche. What ever they say pick the most popular response and run with that.

 

Now that we know who we are serving and how we need to help them we can decide on a lead magnet. 

 

Based on the pain point – what solution can you provide for free to help solve their pain point. 

 

For me If the pain point is getting clients the solution would be to provide something to help them get clients. 

 

That something could be a guide, quiz, checklist, webinar, video, ebook – those are just a few types of lead magnets. 

 

So you would just need to select the type. I’m going to go with a guide and then turn your topic into a title for the guide.

Once you have the title now all you have to do is create it.

 

My favorite tool to create lead magnets is canva. Its free. Just go to canva.com and there are plenty of templates you can use. 

 

So those are the simple steps that you can take right now while you are in your house with nothing to do. Use your time wisely and create a lead magnet that attracts your ream clients. 

 

Now keep in mind you need a lead magnet whether you are in quarantine or not but now is a perfect time to create on while you have the time. So once quarantine is over you have a big email list that you can market to.
